5-Day Police Operator Certification

Our five-day international training program equips law enforcement officers with the essential skills required to safely and professionally operate a drone for surveillance, patrol, evidence gathering, and tactical support operations.

The program includes structured lessons, daily flight practice, theory briefings, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with global UAS policing standards.

SOI provides a specialised training program for personnel and personnel deployed into high-risk environments. Training for Law Enforcement personnel working in Anti-Human Trafficking.

The Program

Day 1: Drone Introduction & Safety
*Drone components, controls, batteries, and payloads
*Basic aviation safety and operational guidelines
*Assembly, inspection, and system start-up
*First manual take-off, hover, and landing

Day 2: Basic Flight Skills
*Understanding controller functions and flight modes
*Box pattern, circle hover, and directional control
*Precision landings and pilot hand-off drills
*Building confidence and spatial awareness

Day 3: Camera & Surveillance Operations
*Gimbal controls: tilt, pan, photo, and video
*Tracking targets while flying
*Recording, reviewing, and managing evidence
*Basic surveillance flight patterns.

Day 4: Automated Flight & Emergency Procedures
*Waypoint planning using the drone flight software
*Return to Home (RTH) and failsafe functions
*Simulated emergencies: low battery and lost signal
*Battery swaps and field readiness

Day 5: Combined Mission Assessment
*Full mission-style patrol with team roles
*Camera operation, communication, and evidence capture
*Hand-off procedures and emergency simulation
*Final competency assessment and certification
